Cancer and pancakes

Tomorrow I'm going to eat pancakes with a girl that probably is going to die of cancer this year. Isn't that strange? W're sitting there, smile at each other and eat our pancakes. Meanwhile I will look at the photo's she took in Antarctica, where she has been last month. I wonder if I would like to go to Antarctica if I knew my days were numbered.
